Precision medicine typically synthesizes four domains:

Next-Generation Sequencing (NGS) can rapidly survey large portions of the genome to identify variants relevant to diagnosis, prognosis, and therapy selection. Because NGS can evaluate many genes at once, regulators have developed flexible frameworks to support accuracy, reliability, and clinical validity (e.g., use of standards, shared reference data, and transparent methods). The goal is simple: ensure patients and clinicians receive accurate, actionable results.
